This week's menu was super easy because I did't have to do anything! I planned this week along with last week when I did my major grocery shop. I did go grocery shopping again to pick up a few things that we go through in a week. Bananas seem to last about 2 days in our house, so I find that I buy them sometimes twice a week! We're having pizza twice this week, and both time's are Church fundraisers. Yes, our church loves pizza I guess. HA! Anyways, here's the menu... Monday- Monical's Pizza. Our Church does fundraisers called "Dine to Donate". We work with certain restaurants who are willing to donate a percentage of the money we spend there to our Church. Tonight a group of us will meet at 6:30 and eat together. We get to eat good food, fellowship, and raise money! Tuesday- French Onion Burgers. My favorite burgers. They are so good. Wednesday- Pierogi Casserole. This is just pretty much straight up unhealthy comfort food, but it's oh so good! Thursday- Breakfast. Thursday is going to be pretty busy and my kids love breakfast for dinner. I figured what better way to end a busy day then with a good meal! Friday- Pizza. The teens from our Church are doing a ready to bake pizza delivery fundraiser. We ordered 2 homemade pizzas and they'll deliver them to us ready to bake. This weekend is the 2nd weekend they'll be doing it and we've heard nothing but good things. Last weekend they sold 40 pizzas! (Not to shabby for a church of 70 people!) Saturday- Saturday is a date night for Aaron and I so the girls will probably have something quick. Not sure what we'll be doing for our date night yet. Sunday- EASTER!!! We'll be heading to celebrate with Aaron's family. It's always the traditional meal- ham, about 3 types of potatoes, and food as far as the eye can see! It's Holy Week. If you've never heard that, that means that this is the week that leads up to Jesus crucifixion and ultimately to his resurrection! I love the joy of the Christmas season, but the older I get and the more I understand a fraction of God's love for me, Easter is quickly taking over as my favorite holiday. When I started thinking about what a good verse for this week would be, I immediately thought of Isaiah 53:5. It's one verse that speaks the truth of the crucifixion... But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.- Isaiah 53:5 Thank You, Jesus, for loving me this much... If this is the only thing you ever take away from what you read on this blog, please let this be it... Jesus loves you so much, that he willing took all the junk, pain, frustration, anger, bitterness, mistakes, screw ups, guilt and shame from YOUR life. He took all that stuff as his own and totally away from you, because He loves you more than you can ever imagine. If you want to know a little bit more about this, please send me a message because I'd LOVE to talk with you about it! Happy Monday! Photo Credit, Here.
