About Me.
Hey There. I'm Jessica. I'm a pastor, a pastor's wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend. But, most importantly, I'm loved deeply by God. I live in Indiana where I'm a stay at home mom for our two daughters, Emerson and Macie, and our son, Levi. I'm married to Aaron (hubs, or the postman) and we live a simple life. Well, simple as in totally crazy almost every day. I love cooking for my family, decorating my house, making crafty things or doing DIY projects. I'm hopelessly flawed (not really true, there's always hope), emotional, and more times than not, slightly irrational. But I love and feel deeply.
I started this blog in May of 2012 because I feel like God has given me to ability to share. I love to share everything. It was discovered very early that I have the gift of talk. That, and I don't really know a stranger. So, I figured, mix those 2 things up and why not transfer that to the world wide web. Hello Blog! I love being able to share my heart and the things I'm learning about myself, life, and God on Definitely.Maybe.

A Few of the Goals I have for this Blog...
Over the last few months of blogging, I've realized that God has shown me a few clear goals for this blog. The funny thing is, they aren't things I ever started out intending for this blog to do or communicate. But, that's how God works! So, here are a few of them...
1. Honesty and Realness. Let's just be honest. Some days it feels like life deals us a bad hand. We don't do ourselves any types of favors by creating this image of perfection. Sure, we can cook great meals and have beautifully decorated houses, but that's not 100% reality.
2. Community. I LOVE people. I love being around people, I love talking to people, I love watching people. I just love people. I love being in relationship with people. I love being in community. I often joke that I could thrive in a communal living situation (to an extent). I'm just extremely extroverted. And that's all good, but it goes beyond that. I don't believe God created us to live this life alone. We weren't created to walk through this life without someone to take our hand and help us up the steep cliffs and enjoy the wildflower fields. If I can do that even a little bit, then I feel like this blog has served it's purpose.
3. Connection. This one goes hand in hand with community. I want you to be able to sit down, read some of this blog and go... man, she gets it. Maybe I've never had every experience you've had, but I'm going to be honest about the things I deal with and the things I go through. That way you know you're not alone.
I hope you enjoy Definitely.Maybe!
